SLOTOLARN sent me this post and the pictures to go with it.

Well, I wuz just sittin' here watchin' the rain melt the snow and got ta thinkin' bout summertime...Found a few pictures from last summer out on the blue water and one of some little water in the summer and what it looks like just now... Sorry they can't rival your beautiful pictures Outdoor Girl but due to some twenty years of racin' motorcycles and showin' dogs in the snow and rain my old fingers just don't work so good in the cold weather anymore... Anyway hope these will help everyone remember past and git us lookin' forward to our next... I really enjoy the forum and keepin' up with you guys...
Randy

Those are some GREAT pictures and fish!!  8)  Racing Motorcycles?  ....what kind?

Everytime I see any of you guys on the water I pray for spring to get here and open our lakes back up!!!  My casting arm needed a rest...but it's good to go now and I'm ready for another season.  Until then, I'm sittin on a frozen block again this weekend.

Hey ODG,
Don't feel too bad......they're calling for snow here in NC this weekend and frigid temps for this part of the country and I'm ready for spring.

Right now as I type this it is 8 degrees and we are going down to 0 degrees tonight and into tomorrow morning.  I really do get used to the cold and it doesn't feel that bad, but the fact of the matter is....I'm really starting to not want to have to get used to it anymore.

What was that one thing I heard about somewhere that never appeared....OH, That's right "GLOBAL WARMING"!!!!!

Hey ODG!!! 61 degrees today...Freezing rain & snow beginning tomorrow...Guess I'm gonna head on down to Murrells Inlet tonite so I may get to skip some of it 'till I hafta git back to work Monday... Raced "hair scrambles" and cross country for many many years in the southeast---Mostly Yamaha 2-strokes; 4-strokes were not as popular as now... After a leetle 5 month stint in the hospital I sorta' decided I better give it up...Now just do a little road riden' but to tell the truth it's not much fun anymore... Rather be a-feeshin'... Luv "brim fishin' with my flyrod on our local lakes; Hickory, Norman, Santee and Jocassee... Guess my favorite is on the big water outta Murrells, Little River, Morehead and Charleston with my son who is the good lookin' one in the pictures... He lives in Myrtle  Beach which makes it easy for me to find an excuse to head down that way every "weak-end"... Lookin' forward to retiring some day (the way I have it figured it should be around 2070!) and spending every day on the water or at least close to it... Your pictures are just great and your fish even greater---To repeat Capt. Cefus "Don't you ever catch a leetle one"??? Really enjoy everyones comments---This is a great forum and Capt. Cefus is to be commended for his show and website... His hard work and commitment is readily evident and we should all thank him for his efforts... Hope everyone has a great weekend....

Randy,

Be careful in the sleet.

And yep, I catch quite a few small fish.   And sometimes I don't catch any at all -- like on the recent kayaking show.  But I usually go out with folks who can catch a mess of 'em.

However, catching or just fishing,  I enjoy every minute of being out on the water.  Catching a fish is just a bonus.

Nice mess of fish can't hardly wait for spring to bring the cobia's and the kings in.  Hope the winds are not as bad as last year.  Everytime we tried to go offshore either storms or wind would blow 15-20.  Best of luck to ya this year.
