Hello Ganno, and welcome to Nuts & Bolts. Here's a quote made by Captain Cefus on another post:

"Hey folks,

Wanted to give everyone an update.

Adding pictures to a Forum post is highly desirable... in fact, it's encouraged.

There's two ways to add a picture to your post.  One is via the "ATTACH" option in the post.   This does limit the size of the file you can use, and it's not possible to 'place' the pictures within the body of the text of your post.

The other way, and actually the most preferred way, is to INSERT the IMAGE within the post.   This requires you to have some sort of photo server site that you can pull the pictures from.   And the way to INSERT an image is by clicking on the Insert Image icon that appears directly below the B (for Bold text) right above where you're typing.

If you need help with finding a photo server or any of the other image functions, drop me an email or an IM and I can walk you though it.

Here's the reason for this post.   This site has a fixed amount of space allocated for Attachments to posts.   We're getting close to maxing out that allotment.   So... I'm going to have to start deleting some of the ATTACHED pictures from posts.   I'll go waaaaaay back a couple years and begin removing pictures from posts that haven't been viewed in a while.

In the meantime, if you have made posts with ATTACHED (not Insert Image) pictures and want to keep them as part of your post, then either go back and MODIFY your post by removing the Attachment and replacing with an Insert Image picture, or let me know and I can help you through it.

One major suggestion.. when you either ATTACH or INSERT IMAGE a picture, keep the actual picture size to 800 X 600 or less.   Huge pictures and huge file sizes really reduce the speed at which they load and they just take up a lot of room.  Try to keep each pictures file size to less than 100 bytes.

Let me know if you need any help.    There are dozens of FREE image servers on the web.  I use Photobucket.com and it's free".

I hope this helps Ganno. I use it all the time.

Welcome Ganno !!!

With those endorsements from RR and ODG, the bar has really been raised.   So I can't wait to read the stories and see the pictures.  ;D

Welcome aboard.
