I was the guest speaker at the Atlanta Saltwater Club this week. This club is one of the biggest saltwater clubs in America, and it's 4 hours from the salt!
They asked me to do a presentation on fishing for bottom species in the Gulf. (They have a tournament coming up in May down in Apalachicola.)
My first thought was "What could I possibly show or tell these folks about offshore fishing that they don't already know?" So, I dug back in my memory banks and came up with a few tips they could add to their bag of tricks for the future.
I'll be including some of them in this week's e-newsletter. If you ain't getting the newsletter, you can sign up for free on the Nuts & Bolts website home page.
Great group of people. Very knowledgeable. And, I was actually able to impart some information they thought was valuable to them. That definitely made me feel good afterwards. It's not too rewarding to give a speech and everyone listening feels like they've heard it before. In this case, I had a great audience, and hopefully gave them some nuggets of info they can benefit from out on the water.

Way to go. If I had to reach way back into my memory, I would still be searching.

The best thing would be where do you get the most current information on closures. Fish are easy to predict compaired to government.

You got that right Bakerman. Closure regs are still 'nebulous' as best. I'm getting conflicting info on a daily basis.
