Rooms are going fast.   We've got around 50 people registered so far.  Some from as far away as Minnesota.    A lot of people are bringing their own boats too.   We've got just about every available charter captain in Steinhatchee already booked.  So get your registrations in today if you're considering coming to the Fish N Fest.

The offshore boats are already full with folks who've registered early, so unless you're dragging an offshore boat, the folks who register after today will be fishing inshore.  Which is a LOT of fun!!! by the way.

The meals are going to be fabulous.   Chef Jim Hunt at Fiddlers Restaurant is preparing a Seafood Feast for us on Friday night, and Saturday night will be the Celebration Banquet at Sea Hag Marina.  Chef Jim will be preparing a Surf & Turf menu, complete with some of the fresh catch of the day right from the Gulf of Mexico.

Coach is creating two masterpiece Stealth Rods for our raffle on Saturday night.

The Captain's Meeting scheduled for Sunset Place Condo's on Thursday night may get moved to Fiddler's Restaurant, since they have food, AND adult beverages right there.

If you're staying at Sunset Place Condos, Pelican Pointe Inn, or at Steinhatchee Landing...they all have boat docks where you can keep your boat...at no charge.   It is first-come, first served.   So let the folks at the respective places know if you're bringing a boat and need to tie up.

Finally, check the Florida Fishing Regulations for sizes, identification of species, and creel limits.    If you are fishing with an inshore charter captain, you will NOT need a Florida Fishing license.   If you are fishing on one of the OFFSHORE boats, you MAY need a Florida Fishing License.   More to come on that.

This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT !!!   The weather can be raining in the morning, and then clear up by mid-morning, and we'll go fishing.    So bring your 'A" game and look forward to some great fishing, fun, fellowship and food!

See ya there!

Another hint.
The famous angler from the Caribbean is a master chef.
His speciality is Iguana and rice.
Taste like chicken.
I still have a strange feeling of twithching my neck and flicking my tongue

Weather forecast for Steinhatchee is looking good.  Modest winds, 90 degrees for a high and a 20% chance of an afternoon thunderstorm - which means it's summertime in the sunny south along the coast.  Cefus, will you bring me another one of those blue offshore bags?  It has become my favorite piece of luggage!
